37 years ago today, I rode in an APD police car for the first time. It was being driven by Jackey Klaus.
Seen some good and some bad in both civilians and officers.
Met some awful cops and some awesome crackheads along the way.
Saw some good die young while some Blackhearted Ain't Shyts kept living.
Helped who I could and made sure not to harm those I couldn't.
What's the takeaway? Not everyone who wears a badge and a gun is a good person and not everyone who goes to jail is a bad person.
The ability to see people as people can take you places a high horse, rank and power never can.
See you here next year, maybe.
